Painted Rock Petroglyph Site

The Painted Rock Petroglyph Site contains hundreds of ancient petroplyphs pecked into basalt boulders.

The picnic shelter made a great office for the morning, until the temperature hit 100 degrees.

I rescued this rock from blindness. It was staring at the sun.

Dance your cares away
Worries for another day

Lee's Rock Garden

Louis Lee spent nearly 50 years arranging rocks in the yard of his East Phoenix home; because he didn't want the hassle of managing a lawn.

This is a private home in a suburban neighborhood.

As this is a private home in a quiet neighborhood and Lee passed in 2006, we only stopped briefly to look at the rocks that we could see from the street.

Arches of rock line the property of the Lee home.
