Horwood House

Horwood House Hotel

A quick glance at the online marketing for the Horwood House Hotel might lead one to believe that it is a country manor house converted into a small hotel. However, beyond the 1911 home that houses the lobby is a huge sprawling event hotel similar to those I've encountered around the world. The price was reasonable. The restaurant served up good food. The room was comfortable. And the Internet was sufficiently fast to work remotely from my room. This was everything I needed for a stop on a working roadtrip.

Bletchley Park

Bletchley Park was the home to the codebreakers that helped the allies win World War II. The property is now open to the public as a museum with exhibits detailing the place, people, and practices that broke the unbreakable Enigma cipher.
